The Kailash Mount is part of the Himalayan chain.
It peaks in 6714m.
This mountain is sacred, its ascent is formally forbidden.
It is the most worshipped mountain in the world...

Painful access, extreme height and hard weather conditions make the Kora shrine a real praiseworthy pilgrimage.
The pilgrims put approximately 3 days to make a complete walk around the Mount  (50km).

For the Buddhists, make the tour erases all the sins of a life.

It is called Kang Rinpoché (jewel of snows) by the Tibetans.
Its shape evokes the diamond, symbol of purity and perfection.
A legend says that it is the navel of the universe, the central axis of the world.

"Sat on the ground as half-lotus
Body relaxed, mind in peace, I contemplate the world around me.
Such majestic Kailash Neither the wind,
nor the cold, nor the fog, nor the snow disturb my simple meditation.
All the excitement of the world Seems derisory, imaginary
Only count the deep joy of the inside peace."
( from the Tibetan book Kailash pélerinage)

For the Hindus, Mount Kaïlas is the house of Shiva.

For Buddhists, it is the house of infinite compassion Buddha
 Avalokiteshvara.
Dalai Lama would be his reincarnation.
